Cafe Malacca at Traders Hotel, Hong Kong Now a Bib Gourmand Restaurant

Having opened for a little over a year, Traders Hotel, Hong Kong's Cafe Malacca is awarded as a Bib Gourmand restaurant in the 2014 edition of the Michelin Guide for Hong Kong and Macau.  The restaurant has also been awarded 2013 Best Ever Dining Awards - Malaysian & Singaporean Dishes from Weekend Weekly.

The Bib Gourmand symbol indicates that the restaurant is offering quality food for $300 or less (price of a 3-course meal excluding drinks).  Inspectors of Michelin select these outstanding restaurants particularly because of their good value.

Cafe Malacca is renowned for its authentic Straits cuisine from Malaysia and Singapore, and all dishes are meticulously prepared by Chef Sunny Tse and his team.

From stocks to broths, all dishes at Cafe Malacca are made in-house from scratch with aromatic spices, herbs and ingredients.  "We are thrilled to receive such recognition, and are proud of our offerings.  Cafe Malacca has only opened for a year and it has still a long way to go," says Sunny Tse, Head Chef of Cafe Malacca.  Sunny and his team are now ready for another year of exciting challenges.

"The most authentic dishes are made from our own kitchen, they are from our hearts."  Aside from cooking and supervising in the Kitchen, Chef Sunny always collects opinions from Malaysian and Singaporean guests at Cafe Malacca.  The team will then discuss with our consultant and find ways to improve the quality of dishes.  He believes that this is the way to make Cafe Malacca deliver truly authentic Straits cuisine.

Cafe Malacca features authentic Malaysian and Singaporean hawker fare in a relaxed yet stylish and spacious dining room.   Diners at Café Malacca are transported to the hawkers of Malaysia and Singapore for street-style food, all freshly prepared with aromatic spices, herbs and ingredients.  A la carte menu is available from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily.  For reservations, please call (852) 2213 6613.
