Course Objectives / Description

The Certificate in Finance (Module I) focuses on the Account Payable and General Ledger functions in a Hotel environment.  The learners will be able to understand the concepts of financial assets, Bank Account reconciliations, SLIM PRC hotel Account Receivable policies as well as SLIM Accounting procedures.  Special topics include: understanding hotel practices and control points in Account Payables, month-end and year-end closing procedures, basic Financial Statement analysis and proper Finance Report Writing.
