8 August 2013
Brisbane, Australia, 8 August 2013 - Scaling the facade of Traders Hotel, Brisbane and an aircraft perched atop the hotel's fifth floor balcony, one might mistake the filming of a new Mission Impossible film is underway. The excitement however, is due to an extraordinary initiative being launched this August - facilities to open in November - by Traders Hotel, Brisbane and Corporate & Group Xperiences, to provide the region with the most realistic team-building experiences and state-of-the-art emergency training facilities.
By using an actual aircraft fuselage to replicate a scenario of adversity, professional Xperiences facilitators will lead participants through disaster management and objective based challenges, where practical skills such as first-aid, navigation, vertical rescue, and emergency treatment can be applied and perfected with team-work and communication techniques.
Unlike anything anywhere in Australia, the new Traders Adventure Xperiences facilities at Traders Hotel, Brisbane will also offer emergency services training for mines rescue teams, search and rescue groups, and medical and special services. The aircraft's main body will be installed in an open area of the hotel with certified anchor points for rescue teams to abseil with ‘patients’ for approximately eight metres. Specifically designed to challenge skills in an urban setting, the Traders Adventure Xperiences may be tailored to include accommodation and catering options for conference and incentive groups. The new facility is in the evolution stage with expansion plans in the pipeline.
In addition to presenting an exclusive training and team building opportunity, the setting may be themed as a unique cocktail venue and complements Traders Hotel, Brisbane’s seven meeting rooms, which can be configured into a ballroom for up to 500 guests. The hotel’s audio visual equipment with the innovative See-Me-Now messaging system streamlines requests for banquet and assistance, encouraging an enhanced level of responsiveness to ensure events are and clients’ needs are met promptly and effectively.
Traders Hotel, Brisbane is the official accommodation provider for the 2013 Brisbane Ekka, where the Traders Adventure Xperience plane will be on display.
