Sichuan cuisine is one of the eight major cuisines in China. It is well known for its exquisite cooking methods, variety of dishes and delicate taste. From 17 to 30 June 2013, The Oriental at Traders Hotel, Beijing will invite Guest Chef Rick Du from Shang Palace at Shangri-la, Chengdu to present the finest Sichuan dishes to Beijing diners.
Available dishes will include Braised Fish Head with Chilli, Stir-Fried Chicken with Dried Chilli Sichuan, Braised Bean Curd with Sichuan Peppercorn and Spicy Sauce, Dan Dan Noodles and so on. Diners will enjoy the most authentic flavours from the “Land of Abundance” – Sichuan.
Chef Rick has more than 20 years experience in cooking traditional Sichuan cuisine. He has been invited to present Sichuan cuisine as guest chef at other Shangri-la hotels and has won many Sichuan cuisine contests. On Sichuan Cuisine Week at Traders Hotel, Beijing’s The Oriental, Chef Rick will present his best Sichuan dishes.
