Chef Steven Hubbell
Steven is an award-winning chef with a love for locally sourced ingredients and a background in Indian and modern American cuisine. He remains firmly grounded in classical theory and a love for simple ingredients while specialising in modern techniques and creative applications.
Growing up modestly in Detroit, MI, Steven developed a passion for Indian cuisine that led him to open the Michelin-awarded Veerasway restaurant in Chicago, IL.
In 2014, Steven joined Junoon to lead its culinary operations in New York City and Dubai as the executive chef. Steven has brought a unique perspective to Indian cuisine, both traditional and modern, while preserving its heritage and traditions.
Steven splits his time between New York City and Dubai. He enjoys practicing the art of bonsai, collecting outsider art and finding inspiration in the eclectic music and culinary scenes of the two cities.
